Tottenham fans will love Mark Lawrenson’s score prediction for Nottingham Forest
Mark Lawrenson has explained why he expects Tottenham to overcome Nottingham Forest on Monday, even though the Lilywhites are in a poor run of form in the Premier League at the moment.
For the first time in what feels like ages, there is a feeling of positivity in the Tottenham Hotspur camp, with the club now just two steps away from breaking their 17-year trophy drought.
As one would expect, the North London side’s focus will entirely be on the Europa League, with the Premier League likely to be on the back burner over the next month and a half.
Ange Postecoglou is expected to ring the changes for Spurs against Forest after his side’s exertions in Germany on Thursday, with a much-changed Tottenham side likely to take the field tomorrow.

Mark Lawrenson expects Tottenham to beat Forest
However, even though the Lilywhites may not name a full-strength side and have bigger fish to fry, Mark Lawrenson is convinced that they will comfortably beat Forest at home.
The pundit expects the Midlands side’s difficult run of form to continue and for Tottenham to hand them a third straight defeat.
When asked to predict the result of Monday’s game, Lawrenson told Paddy Power: “I’ve said it many times but the Premier League is so cyclical. You win three or four, then you lose a few.
“Nottingham Forest have lost their last two and, while Tottenham are by no means good or in form, I’m going to go with a home win as Forest might just be getting a bit jittery.”
Score prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Nottingham Forest.
Why Spurs could bring their A-game against Forest
The pressure on the Tottenham squad and Postecoglou has been lifted for the time being after their progression to the semifinal.
The Spurs players can thus play with a lot more freedom than they have over recent months and express themselves on the field.
One would also expect the atmosphere at the stadium to be very different tomorrow than we have seen for much of this season, with the mood of the Tottenham fanbase being transformed after last Thursday.
