Five Fleet Players Named To 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship Rosters
The Boston Fleet play their final game before the international break Wednesday, and they found out which players will be departing for Czechia.
Five Fleet players were named to an international roster, as announced by the PWHL on Tuesday. Goalie Klára Peslarová and defender Daniela Pejšová will represent the host country of the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship. Forward Susanna Tapani will represent Finland, goalie Emma Söderberg will represent Sweden and forward Alina Müller will represent Switzerland.
Boston led all teams with the most PWHL representatives on international rosters. Tapani is no stranger to the World Championship scene as a six-time medalist (one silver and five bronze).

The United States roster was announced last month. Three Fleet players are on the U.S. team: Aerin Frankel, Megan Keller and Hilary Knight. Athletic trainer Amanda Kelley also will travel with the Americans. The United States will look to avenge its loss in last year’s World Championship when Canada earned an overtime victory in Utica, New York in the gold medal game.
Boston plays the Ottawa Charge on Wednesday at Tsongas Center and will be off until April 28 for the World Championship. The Fleet were third in the PWHL standings before Wednesday’s matchup.
