Patriots Reportedly Competing With These Teams That Eyed Ronnie Stanley

Ronnie Stanley returning to the Ravens caused a ripple effect felt inside One Patriot Place and beyond.

New England now has to shift gears to a backup plan at left tackle, its biggest need this offseason. But the Patriots won’t be alone as the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Commanders also were “readying a run” at Stanley, according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer.

“They’re (Washington) right there with Kansas City and New England looking at tackles in the aftermath of (Stanley’s) decision,” Breer wrote Monday.

It means more competition for the Patriots.

Breer mentioned Cam Robinson, Dan Moore and Jaylon Moore as potential backup options. The Patriots reportedly would be “comfortable” shifting to Robinson or Dan Moore.

Jaylon Moore, however, is more of an under-the-radar free agent. The 27-year-old played 779 snaps at left tackle for the San Francisco 49ers the last four seasons. He recorded a career-high 279 snaps in 2024, per Pro Football Focus. Stanley played more than 1,000 left tackle snaps in 2024 alone.
