Tottenham could battle two Premier League rivals for 19-goal striker this summer
Tottenham’s pursuit of one Serie A star just got a lot harder, with reports revealing that two Premier League sides who are in and around the Champions League places also want the same player.
Moise Kean has come off age since his switch to Fiorentina last summer, with the versatile forward having found the back of the net 19 times across all competitions so far this season.
It has been widely reported over recent weeks that Moise Kean’s performances in Florence have caught Tottenham’s attention as the Lilywhites eye further reinforcements in attack this summer.
It was even suggested earlier this week that the decision-makers at Spurs have internally discussed making a move for Kean when the transfer window reopens.
Tottenham face competition for Moise Kean
CaughtOffside have confirmed that Tottenham are admirers of Kean and backs up what we have heard from other sources by stating the striker has a €52m (£43m) release clause in his contract this summer.
However, they reveal that Spurs are not the only ones eyeing the Fiorentina man, who is also on the wishlist of their North London rivals, Arsenal.
Additionally, the former Juventus man is also said to have admirers at Aston Villa, potentially paving the way for a three-horse transfer race.
It is revealed that even though the forward only moved to Artemio Franchi Stadium last summer, he is ‘tempted’ by the chance to return to the Premier League.
Kean ticks many boxes for Spurs and Ange Postecoglou
Kean evidently seems to have taken his game to a new level since his switch to the Viola and is finally living up to the potential that everyone knew he always had as a youngster.
The 24-year-old’s game looks made for the Premier League while his versatility will also appeal to Ange Postecoglou, who likes having forwards who can operate in a number of positions.
Kean might be the perfect Richarlison replacement for Tottenham in the summer, but the Italian might have doubts about coming to a club which already has Dominic Solanke and Mathys Tel.
