Nick Foles Calls Out Tom Brady After Eagles’ Title Win Over Chiefs
Sunday was not the first time Tom Brady was on hand to watch the Eagles celebrate a Super Bowl championship win.
Before its dominant victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome, Philadelphia’s last Lombardi Trophy was earned at Brady’s expense. The 2017 Eagles outlasted the New England Patriots in a memorable shootout in Minnesota, where a Brady strip-sack sealed the Birds’ first championship in franchise history.
This time around, Brady was in the FOX broadcast booth as green confetti fell to the turf. But Nick Foles, the Super Bowl LII MVP, still took it upon himself to needle the legendary quarterback after the 2024 season finale.
“It’s really cool that Tom Brady got to be there for the Eagles’ two Super Bowl wins! He might be a good luck charm. Have a great night!” Foles posted to X.
Foles’ social media post probably was nothing more than friendly banter. After all, the pair of ex-quarterbacks recently teamed up to make a commercial mere weeks after Brady made it abundantly clear on national television that he has no resentment toward Foles.
But even if Foles was being serious, the chirp wouldn’t really work. One of Brady’s seven career Super Bowl wins was over the Eagles back in 2005.
