Man United dealt fresh injury blow as left-back set to be out for around four weeks - Insider

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has suffered a fresh injury setback and is set to spend around four weeks on the sidelines, according to Utd Menace.

The Man United insider, followed by the likes of Mike Keegan, Laurie Whitwell, and Peter Hall on X (formerly Twitter), were the first to exclusively reveal last month that Ruben Amorim unleashed a rage in the dressing room after the defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion ahead of other major news outlet.

They have now taken to social media this morning to break the news concerning the fitness of the English full-back.

Shaw has played just thrice for the Red Devils this term after injuries limited him to 15 appearances across all competitions last term, and his latest setback is a blow for head coach Ruben Amorim.

Man United signed Patrick Dorgu from Leece a few days ago, and the Denmark international left-back could make his debut against Leicester City in the FA Cup on Friday.

The Old Trafford club allowed Tyrell Malacia to leave on loan yesterday as it appeared Shaw was closing in on a return to full fitness after recently getting back to training with the first-team, but Amorim will not be able to call upon the 29-year-old until next month from the look of things.

The England international has struggled to stay fit consistently over the years and has not shown signs of getting over his injury woes anytime soon.

Lisandro Martinez’s season-ending injury was supposed to hand Shaw a golden opportunity to establish himself in the starting XI plans of Amorim, but that is not the case and signing Dorgu last month is starting to look like a very smart move.

The Man United star signed a new four-year contract last April that would keep him at the club until June 2027, and it can be argued that the decision has not helped their finances given that he is hardly available.
