Drake Maye Admits To ‘Recruiting’ Stars To Patriots At Pro Bowl
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye had an impressive rookie season, but perhaps his best moment was finding a way to make the Pro Bowl worthwhile.
The Pro Bowl has become somewhat of a joke over the last few years. The NFL was sick of declining ratings, so it replaced the all-star football game with a number of ridiculous activities to replace it.
Maye was selected to participate, and while it was cool seeing him throw touchdown passes, the best thing he did was go recruiting.
“I definitely think a little bit,” Maye said on an appearance on “Up & Adams” on Tuesday. “I’ve definitely been getting to know some of the guys, telling them a little bit about Boston, let them know about Foxboro, about Gillette Stadium a little bit. I told them about the fan base. I let ’em know that the Pats got some things to make some moves this offseason.”
Maye was around several high-profile players throughout the week, with several scheduled to hit free agency this offseason.
Do we think he’ll end up being successful with his pitch?
