Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of an outfield signing continues
Tottenham Hotspur looks set to be closing in on adding a new central defender to their ranks before the winter transfer window closes.
The North Londoners are still yet to make an outfield signing during the current window with the only arrival coming on January 5th when Antonin Kinsky was brought in to bolster Tottenham’s goalkeeping options.
The defence and the attack are two positions the Lilywhites are looking to strengthen before the February 3rd deadline.
In a bid to strengthen their defence and attack, the N17 club tried to lure Mathys Tel of Bayern Munich and Fikayo Tomori of AC Milan to Hotspur Way, but despite their efforts, both deals fell through.

This update comes from Ben Jacobs of GIVEMESPORT who stated in a recent tweet on X, “Wolves informed in the last few moments that Kevin Danso is going to Spurs. More to follow.”
Kevin Danso is a 26-year-old centre-back who currently plays for RC Lens in Ligue 1. The centre-back has made a total of 14 appearances in all competitions this season.
Fabrizio Romano confirms Spurs’ interest In Kevin Danso
Journalist Ben Jacobs is not the only one reporting this latest update. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has also shared an update regarding this transfer in a tweet on X.
He revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are in discussions to hijack Kevin Danso’s transfer, despite Wolves already scheduling a medical for the defender on Sunday.
According to the journalist, negotiations are still ongoing, with both Spurs and Wolves in the race. Meanwhile, Fikayo Tomori remains unwilling to leave AC Milan, while Tottenham continue their efforts to secure Danso.
Romano shortly followed that report with news that Danso has said yes to Tottenham, with contract terms set to be agreed. His medical at Wolves has now been cancelled.
