Spurs director spotted in Munich to push for Mathys Tel transfer
Fabrizio Romano has just provided a big update regarding Spurs technical director Johan Lange, with the Dane seemingly pushing to finalise a deal for Mathys Tel in the final days of the window.
Spurs among those chasing Mathys Tel deal
Mathys Tel is widely regarded as one of the most talented young wingers in world football, which is why the news of his availability appears to have piqued the interest of a number of sides.
According to reports, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs showing an interest in the teenager, with Spurs hoping to use the good relationship they have with Bayern to their advantage to secure a deal.
We now have received further evidence that the North London club are now prioritising a deal to sign the Bayern starlet in the final days of the window.

Johan Lange update emerges amidst Mathys Tel rumours
Tel was in action for Bayern in their 3-1 Champions League win over Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday, with the teenager playing a little over an hour before being replaced by Kingsley Coman.
It has now been revealed by Fabrizio Romano that Johan Lange was in attendance at the Allianz Arena yesterday, which potentially comes as confirmation that Spurs are focused on agreeing a deal for Tel.
The journalist explains that the North London club want to sign the France Under-21 international on a permanent transfer, as do London rivals, Chelsea, while Man Utd want to sign him on loan.
Meanwhile, a report in L’Equipe has claimed that while Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring the Bayern man, Spurs are ‘the most insistent’ on acquiring the youngster.
The outlet also confirms that Lange was at the Allianz Arena yesterday and further reveals that the Dane had discussions with Bayern executives over a deal for the winger. Lange is allegedly trying to convince Tel that he should move to N17.
The publication adds that the Lilywhites ‘are adamant that they need to secure Tel’s signing quickly’ as they are wary of the competition from fellow English sides who are better placed in the table.
It is explained that at the time of publishing the report the teenager had not made a final decision over his future.
Will Tottenham be an attractive option for Tel?
The fact that Spurs are languishing in 15th place in the table at the moment and look extremely unlikely to be in the Champions League next season, might work against them in the race for Tel.
The Bayern youngster has no shortage of suitors to choose from at the moment, which is why Lange, Postecoglou and co have work to do to convince him that a move to N17 would be the right next step for him.
It appears as if the next 24 hours could prove crucial in determining where the winger ends up.
