Tottenham first-half player ratings vs Arsenal – 3.5/10 midfielder letting the side down

0 10

The referee’s whistle has sounded for halftime in tonight’s North London derby clash between Spurs and the Gunners. Let’s take a look at our Tottenham vs Arsenal player ratings from the first 45.

Tottenham first-half player ratings vs Arsenal

Antonin Kinsky – Arrived quickly to prevent Raheem Sterling from getting a shot away in a promising position early in the match. Kinksy has also been decisive at set pieces, a refreshing change from when the goalkeeper was always targeted at corners in Tottenham’s matches. He did almost give the ball away to concede what would have been a certain goal though and could have done better to prevent Arsenal from taking the lead. 6

Pedro Porro – Went down injured after being embarrassed by a skilful turn by Leandro Trossard. However, on the whole, it’s not been too bad a display from the Spaniard. 5

Radu Dragusin – Conceded possession to give Raheem Sterling an early opportunity and he failed to deal with Gabriel when Arsenal equalised from a corner. 4

Archie Gray – Without prior knowledge, no one would know Gray wasn’t naturally a centre-back. Another solid display so far from the 18-year-old. 7

Djed Spence – Sent in a brilliant cross to Solanke which was worthy of a goal. He’s always looking to move the team forward. 7

Pape Matar Sarr – Had a standout moment when he dribbled through most of Arsenal’s team, but picked up an unnecessary yellow card. 5.5

Yves Bissouma – Arsenal have controlled possession and Bissouma has done nothing to give Spurs any control. Also, he gave the ball away for Arsenal’s second goal. 3.5

Lucas Bergvall – Everything is high risk, high reward with Bergvall. He has both won and lost possession a number of times. His energy has certainly helped get Spurs attacking. 6.5

Dejan Kulusevski – Had one shooting chance, but other than that we haven’t seen too much from Kulusevski. Hopefully, he’ll be more involved in the second half. 5

Dominic Solanke – Wasn’t able to take advantage of a fantastic delivery from Spence. You have to admire Solanke’s work rate off the ball though. He’s always on the move. 5

Heung-min-Son – Scored the opening goal with a well-struck effort. That’s 14 goals and assists this season now for him. It was deflected in off William Saliba, but that won’t bother Tottenham’s captain. 7
