Lace-Up: The LV Footprint Soccer Has Finally Hit the Shelves

0 24

As of this week, the LV Footprint Soccer — a dashing pair of shoes, first designed by Pharrell Williams — has arrived to Louis Vuitton stores.

These past few months have been a suspenseful stretch for sneaker lovers; the shoes having building hype since the summertime. Last June, stars like Sabrina Carpenter and Colman Domingo touched down in Paris to catch a glimpse of Louis Vuitton’s highly-anticipated Spring-Summer 2025 menswear collection. As the conventional opener to Paris Men’s Fashion Week, the Louis Vuitton show was held just one month before the bombastic 2024 Olympic Games came to the City of Lights. Accordingly, the fashion house held nothing back: models walked across the iconic rooftop of Maison UNESCO, covered in grass and cut in a Damier pattern to honour the famous atelier.

Billed as “an homage to mankind,” the SS25 collection took a global approach to travel gear and sporting goods; the latter made a splash with LV-branded jerseys, polos, and — in the centre of all the celebratory commotion — a striking pair of shoes, shaped to evoke the sleek silhouette of a soccer cleat. Now, the French fashion house has stocked its shelves for shoppers: meet the Footprint Soccer by Louis Vuitton.

Chic and shiny, yet effortlessly casual, the Footprint Soccer captures aesthetic of recreation. The timeless contour gives a nod to field sports with chic, straight lines that take after football cleats. Authentic materials, including a padded rubber outsole and calf-leather upper, double down on the athletic look.

Laden with botanically-inclined details, the Footprint Soccer ties into the fresh and floral motifs that coloured Louis Vuitton’s SS25 collection. Stamped with an easily-identified LV on its sole, the Footprint Soccer leaves a recognizable imprint behind.

To contrast their intricate design, the shoes come in five refreshingly simple colourways. Offered in a selection of solid shades — white, red, green, blue, and black — the Footprint Soccer shoes boast an undeniable vibrance, with a score of clean white highlights to break up the monochromatic palette. The saturation lifts on the outsole, however, giving a lighter hue to enhance the silhouette.

Launched in stores on January 2nd, the Footprint Soccer jumpstarts Louis Vuitton’s 2025.
