‘Back soon brother’ – Tottenham teammates send support to Guglielmo Vicario
Several of his current and former Tottenham teammates have sent Guglielmo Vicario messages of support after his latest injury blow.
Guglielmo Vicario will be sidelined for several months
Vicario produced a heroic performance at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, making several important saves as Tottenham emerged with a thumping win.
However, it was confirmed by the club on Monday that the Italian had suffered a fracture in his right ankle during the game and subsequently underwent surgery.
According to various reports, the goalkeeper is now expected to be sidelined for several months (talkSPORT), which poses a significant problem for Ange Postecoglou.

Vicario took to Instagram to reveal that he played nearly an hour with a broken ankle against Manchester City, and admitted his disappointment at being ruled out of the game for a while.
Several of his Tottenham teammates have reacted to the post, including Destiny Udogie, who wrote: “We will be waiting for you brother”, Manor Solomon who wrote: “Speedy recovery my brother”, Richarlison who commented: “Strong bro”, and James Maddison, who responded: “Back soon brother”
Others, including Pape Sarr and Dejan Kulusevski, as well as his former Spurs teammates Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, also wished the 28-year-old a speedy recovery.
Huge blow to Tottenham
Vicario is not just an excellent shot-stopper but is also crucial to the way Tottenham play out from the back, given his ability with the ball at his feet.
His absence thus severely weakens the side as Fraser Forster cannot offer the same in terms of playing out from the back. If the Italian is ruled out for two or three months, that might force Postecoglou to look for a new goalkeeper in January.
