I brought up Tyson as you mentioned assaulting women. A lot of people still love him and he's a convicted rapist with a few other dodgy possible misdemeanors.
I'm not advocating any of the things you say, I'm out of touch with it as well. There is a lot that's very farcical about boxing.
As for the wrestling just something that's a bit of a guilty pleasure. A soap opera. Not sure what's wrong with something being camp but if you don't like that then also each to their own. I don't find it especially camp unless it's trying to be for whatever effect.
I also appreciate that they are proper f*ck ups, moreso in yesteryear, so the stories behind the stories are generally very interesting and often very sad.
