Absolutely love the guy. A captain before he was even captain.
Great in the air, really good technically, especially for a CH, and tremendous approach - both himself and towards his teammates- proper leader
The ONLY slight criticism you could make is he is a bit susceptible to pace if isolated out wide.
BUT….. the other thing I love about him, and which we haven’t had for…..ever is his “professionalism”
If the situation warrants it he has no hesitation in “doing the right thing”…..and taking the card.
For years we’ve let players run through the middle of us when, frankly, sometimes they just have to be stopped somehow.
All successful teams apply that approach when necessary.
Un-purist as it is I’m actually really pleased to see us grow up in that respect
