I was at a harvest lunch this afternoon sitting next to a villa supporter who happened to grown-up in the street next to mine . His sister's friend was a teacher, and she was married toBryan Orritt the blues player anyway this villa supporter who is such a nice chap told me his grandad died in the ground before a match agains Leeds Utd. He was stretchered off and put on the table in the blues dressing room at all the players had to stand and look at him before tripping out to the pitch. Obviously they found this quite unnerving and it was a game. We really needed to win and we ended up drawing.. he said his grandad had a glass eye Iand this must've been particularly disconcerting for the players according Orrit.
