Kane isn’t bad in the air himself

Kane himself is no slouch in the air, with the centre-forward being a master of finding space in the box, jumping at the right time and directing his headers.

The striker has also played with several players who were monsters in the air for both club and country, having shared a dressing room with the likes of Fernando Llorente.

However, the England captain unsurprisingly picked former Spurs and England striker Crouch as the best he has seen in the air.

Speaking to ESPN FC, the Bayern Munich star said: “Heading? I’ll probably go for someone like Peter Crouch.”

Harry Kane and Peter Crouch crossed paths at Tottenham

Kane was coming through the academy when Crouch was playing for the first-team. Of course, Crouch himself came through the ranks at Spurs but had spells at various clubs before Harry Redknapp brought him to White Hart Lane in 2009.

The lanky centre-forward spent just a couple of years at Tottenham but he is remembered by fans as an iconic player, having been involved in some big moments, including scoring the goal that helped the club qualify for the Champions League for the first time in their history.

The irony with Crouch is that despite his height, he was not the best in the air in the early stages of his career, but he became good as he got more experience under his belt.

By the time he came to Tottenham, he was quite dominant aerially and a nightmare to play against.
