New Tottenham signing Yang Min-hyuk admits that he is looking forward to playing alongside James Maddison when he arrives at Spurs in January.

Yang Min-hyuk will join Spurs in January

Spurs completed a deal to sign Yang from Gangwon FC earlier this summer after the winger burst onto the scene at the K-League side and grabbed the limelight.

The 18-year-old will remain with Gangwon until January before making a move to Hotspur Way and the youngster will certainly face a steep challenge to force himself into Ange Postecoglou’s plans, given the options that the Australian has out wide.

One of the players he might be competing with is Son, who Yang might play alongside for the first time in the upcoming international break after earning his first call-up to the South Korean national squad.

Yang is looking forward to playing with Maddison

However, it is not his compatriot that the teenager is most looking forward to playing alongside at Spurs, with the youngster admitting that he is particularly keen on getting on the end of Maddison’s passes.

When asked about which Tottenham star he is most looking forward to lining up with, Yang told GAMST YouTube channel: “Maybe James Maddison. He’s a great passer!”

Spurs fans will definitely be excited to see that link-up in the years to come.

Yang got a close look at all his soon-to-be Tottenham teammates in the friendly the Lilywhites played against K-League All-Stars last month.

It appears Maddison’s passing and vision caught the youngster’s eye at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
