When’s the Carabao Cup third-round draw?
The draw takes place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
It will be drawn after the second round ties on the night, and will be held at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground. The stadium is hosting a game between Forest and Newcastle that night.
What teams are in it?
32 teams will be in the third-round draw for the Carabao Cup. The teams we know for certain will be in the hat are Spurs, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Chelsea.
Those seven Premier League sides qualify for the third round automatically thanks to their involvement in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.

When are the games?
In another change to the competition, third-round ties will be played on the Tuesday and Wednesday of the weeks commencing September 16 and September 23.
Spreading these games across a fortnight again helps ease fixture congestion. So, Tottenham could play on September 17/18 or September 24/25.
