Tottenham close in on Dominic Solanke
Ange Postecoglou publicly admitted last week that Spurs are looking thin upfront and the club are therefore trying to add a centre-forward to their squad before the transfer window closes (Football.London).
Various sources also revealed over recent days that Solanke is keen on swapping the Vitality Stadium for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer (The Telegraph).
Duncan Castles and David Ornstein then announced this morning that Spurs and Bournemouth had agreed a fee, which was later revealed to be £57m plus add-ons (Paul O’Keefe).

Why did Spurs choose Dominic Solanke?
Tottenham insider, Paul O’Keefe has now revealed exactly why and how Spurs decided on Solanke.
The Lilywhites reportedly drafted a list of striker targets seven or eight weeks ago and have spent the past two months analysing their top targets ‘intensely’, while working on potential deals on the down low.
It appears they ultimately settled on Solanke because ‘Ange believes he has every attribute he looks for’.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Tottenham would have undoubtedly assessed numerous options this summer but it is now clear that they have settled on Solanke as their top choice.
For all the fans who say they trust Postecoglou and want him to be backed – this is what that looks like.
