How many more signings Spurs are expected to make this summer – Journalist

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has said that he expects two or three new faces to arrive through the door at Tottenham before the transfer window slams shut.

Spurs are close to Dominic Solanke

While Tottenham have secured some talented young players so far this window, Spurs fans were growing increasingly anxious at the lack of big-name signings so far this summer.

It looks like that might soon be about to change, with various journalists now reporting that the Lilywhites are close to securing the services of Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, who could cost a club-record fee (Duncan Castles and David Ornstein).

Reports also continue to suggest that Spurs are keeping an eye on both Pedro Neto and Eberechi Eze, while Ange Postecoglou is also thought to want a left-back who can cover for Destiny Udogie (The Times).

Tottenham could sign another two or three

Bridge expects Tottenham to be quite busy over the next few weeks, explaining that the club will be looking to make a couple of additions – although one of them now looks to be Solanke himself.

The journalist said on Sky Sports’ The Transfer Show: “It’s been quiet so far and I get Spurs fans saying hurry up but I think 18 or 19 clubs could say the same. It will be busy over the next few weeks. I think Spurs need a little bit more.

“It’s going to be an interesting few weeks, there’s interest in Pedro Neto at Wolves. I’m expecting another two or three in at Spurs.”

If we can get Solanke, Neto and one young left-back through the door, that would represent a solid transfer window.

However, if Oliver Skipp is allowed to leave, Postecoglou would also likely want to bring in another midfield player.
