Report: Twist in Emerson Royal saga as AC Milan no longer see him as a priority
Emerson Royal’s move to AC Milan has now seemingly hit a roadblock, with various outlets revealing that the two clubs have been unable to reach a full agreement over the right-back.

Ben Jacobs has now taken to social media to state that the Brazilian is no longer considered a priority for Milan, who are now allegedly turning their attention to midfielders and attackers.
He wrote: ‘Understand Emerson Royal is now NOT a priority for Milan, who now prefer to strengthen in midfield and attack.’
Emerson Royal transfer hits a roadblock
Several Italian outlets, including Calciomercato, are also claiming that the deal has hit a bit of a snag, with Spurs allegedly wanting €15m plus €3m bonuses while the Serie A club are only willing to include bonuses of €2m.
The two clubs are thought to have had a long conference call yesterday to finalise the deal but they were unable to sort out all their differences.
However, despite this development, the publication claims that Emerson’s transfer to Milan is ‘not at risk’ at the moment.
In fact, they assert that Paul Fonseca’s men just need ‘one last yes’ from Tottenham and that they expect to close the deal by this weekend.

It sounds like the two sides only have to agree on minor details regarding the bonus payments and one would expect one of the two parties to bite the bullet and concede to the other one’s demands over the coming days.
