Tottenham have had a slow transfer window

While Tottenham have secured some exceptional young players this summer, Spurs fans are becoming anxious and frustrated at the lack of big names arriving through the door.

We are now just two weeks away from the start of the new campaign and there is no doubt that the Lilywhites need reinforcements in a few areas across the pitch if they are to have a shot at challenging the best teams in the Premier League.

Postecoglou appeared pretty relaxed about the situation a couple of days ago, telling Football.London that the Spurs board are aware of the kind of players he wants and insisting that the full squad rebuild was never going to be completed in a couple of transfer windows.

Spurs will be busy this week

Romano believes that we might see Spurs jump into action and make some big moves over the next week, stating that he expects the Lilywhites to be ‘active and busy’.

With just two weeks until the start of the Premier League season, this will be music to Tottenham fans’ ears, with the club having been pretty quiet in the window since the signing of Archie Gray.

The journalist said on Playback: “I expect Tottenham to be active and busy in the transfer market next week.”

Spurs Web Opinion

With the new season now nearing, Tottenham have no choice but to make a couple of big moves within the next couple of weeks.

Now that most of the big outgoings are done, the club needs to act and show that they mean business.
