Leicester City Lead Race To Sign Chelsea Attacker

Leicester City are leading the race to sign out-of-favour Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

 

Chelsea signed the forward from Norwegian club Molde in January last year and he had loan spells at Union Berlin and Burnley last season.

 

He is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans at Chelsea and the club are open to offers for him in the ongoing transfer window.

 

 

VfB Stuttgart and Villarreal are amongst the clubs who are considering signing the attacker this summer.

 

However, it has been claimed Leicester are leading the race to land the Chelsea man in the coming weeks.

 

 

Steve Cooper wants attacking reinforcements as he looks to build a squad to survive in the Premier League next season.

 

Fofana is a player Leicester like and Chelsea are open to loaning him out as long as there is an obligation-to-buy clause baked into the agreement.

 

 

The forward is not expected to be at Chelsea by the time the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
