Video: Big boost for Liverpool as key starter spotted in pre-season training ahead of Man United clash
Liverpool have received a big boost to their preparation for the 2024/25 season as Alexis Mac Allister has joined up with the rest of Arne Slot’s squad in the United States ahead of the Reds playing Man United on Saturday night.
The Argentina star was given extra time off having helped his nation win back-to-back Copa America titles over the summer, but has returned faster than some of the rest of the Merseyside club’s key starters as it is clear he wants to be ready for Liverpool’s opening Premier League game against Ipswich Town on August 17.
Mac Allister was a major player for Jurgen Klopp last season having joined from Brighton and is expected to have a similar impact in Slot’s Liverpool team.
The Argentine is unlikely to feature in the Reds’ pre-season clash with Man United on Saturday night but should be ready to go for the Premier League giants’ match with Sevilla at Anfield next Sunday.
Liverpool fans will be delighted to see the 25-year-old in training as they expect big things again from the World Cup winner during the upcoming campaign.
