One investor sees Tottenham as most appealing venture on the market – Journalist
Speculation is hotting up suggesting Tottenham Hotspur are being targeted for investment, and it is thought their potential investor is now getting the money together to make a move.
Amanda Staveley wants Tottenham
That’s according to journalist Duncan Castles, who on his latest podcast episode, claimed Amanda Staveley is looking to buy another Premier League club after leaving Newcastle United at the end of last season.
Castles claims Staveley is targeting Tottenham for her next investment project, and is currently gathering the funds necessary to make it happen, as she sees Spurs as the most appealing venture.
As Staveley looks to assemble an investor group to help her purchase a stake in Spurs, it is thought she regards the North London club as the club that would be easiest to gather support for and interest in from external investors.
Takeover on the horizon?
The Times have reported on Staveley’s interest previously, and claimed Daniel Levy values Tottenham at the £3.75 billion, which includes debt incurred by the club.
Spurs are thought to be looking to sell a minority share, possibly as little as 10%, as they look to raise funds that can help inject cash into Ange Postecoglou‘s transfer fund.
Despite Staveley’s links to Spurs, she herself has told The Athletic that she cannot reveal much about her next steps. Staveley reiterated how much she loved her time at Newcastle, and insisted she will want to be hands-on at whatever club she gets involved in next.

These stories are getting more and more frequent and feel more substantial now, and I can actually see it happening.
It won’t be a full takeover, but a minority share, absolutely that could come to fruition. It would be quite strange to see it unfold, but I do think it would be a good thing for the club.
