Farke doesn't expect Summerville speculation to end anytime soon
Daniel Farke isn't expecting transfer talk around Crysencio Summerville to end any time soon, according to YEP Chief Football Writer Graham Smyth. On the home front, Fulham, West Ham and Liverpool are keeping close tabs on the 22yo Dutchman, with further interest from the continent. As of yet, no official bids have been put forward but we do know that representatives from Liverpool and West Ham have both made contact with him.
Leeds can ill-afford to lose their best player this late into the Summer. The season starts in less than a fortnight, and replacing him would be a nightmare! Journalists have intimated that Leeds have two players up their sleeves, in-case Summerville or Gnonto should leave. Just like Blackburn have done with Sammie Szmodics, Leeds need to put a time constraint on either of our top two leaving. The closer we get to deadline day, the more difficult it will be to replace either star, not to mention the asking price is bound to go up!
Leeds - shirts are falling apart again
There have been reports from angry Whites fans on social media with issues about their new Leeds shirts, just days after purchasing them. Dozens of supporters have reported issues with the material of the quality, such as the fabric being too thin, see-through, or easily snagged. Some have reported rips after everyday use and even bubbling, after washing the shirt for the first time!
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if an item is faulty or not fit for purpose, you have the right to return the goods and demand a refund, repair or replacement (within 30 days of receiving the goods). If you splash out £65 on a shirt, you expect it to last, at least the season. For faults to appear on the first or send time of wearing it, is unacceptable. It's worth noting that not all fans have experienced these issues. In-fact 75% of those polled have not experienced any problems, but they've only been available for a few days, so don't be surprised if that percentage drops!
Farke to raid former club for star player
Leeds are reportedly lining up a bid for Norwich City £15m rated sensation Gabriel Sara. The Brazilian had an impressive season in the Championship last year, contributing to 25 goals (scoring 13 and assisting 12) in 46 appearances. Leeds see Sara as a potential replacement for Archie Gray. However, they face competition from Crystal Palace, Leicester City, and Galatasaray, as well as Italian club Atalanta. He prefers to play with his left foot and primarily plays as a central midfielder. Gabriel Sara has been a key player for Norwich City since joining the club, contributing significantly to their attack with his goal-scoring and assist-making abilities.
Whilst Sara would represent a top notch capture, I can't help but think that we'd only be signing him to soften the blow if our Talisman leaves! Summerville is not replaceable; his departure would severely weaken our automatic promotion hopes. At-least with Sara, we'd have the strongest central midfielder outside the Premier League, and still have ample cash to tie up a deal for Liam Millar for £2.5m due to the length of his contract!
