Danny Wilson leaves Queen’s Park

Queen’s Park and Danny Wilson have mutually agreed to terminate Danny‘s contract at the club with immediate effect after the experienced defender opted to activate a break clause.

Former Rangers, Liverpool and Hearts player Danny joined the Spiders in January this year from America side Colorado Rapids on an 18-month deal and the 32-year-old made his debut against Morton back in February.

Danny went on to make 11 further appearances, including the two Premier Sports Cup ties that have opened Season 2024/25, however he has chosen to leave due to personal circumstances.

The club has accepted Danny’s request with Callum Davidson saying: “Danny came in at a time last season when we were short of experience in defence and helped us come through a challenging time.

“He has now opted to activate the release clause that was put in for mid-July 2024 and we wish him and his family well.”
