‘It’s been intense’ – Lucas Bergvall comments on his start to Tottenham life

Lucas Bergvall is now officially a Tottenham Hotspur player, and fans can’t wait to see him in competitive action. The player himself is also very excited and he’s loving what he’s seen at the club so far.

Bergvall is happy to be at Spurs

Spurs signed Bergvall from Swedish outfit, Djurgardens, in January, but had to wait until the summer for the talented youngster to arrive.

He’s now here and training with Ange Postecoglou‘s first team, and has been speaking to SpursPlay about how he’s settled in so far.

He said: “It’s an amazing place, amazing staff. I’m really happy to be here. It’s been intense, it’s been tough, but fun.”

In the clip, Postecoglou discusses how excited he is to have Bergvall in his squad, and how hungry the player is to succeed at Spurs.

Speaking to the club’s website last week, Bergvall again commented on how ‘tough’ training has been but emphasised how much he is enjoying the sessions and getting to know everyone at the club.

What’s the plan for Bergvall this season?

It was announced this week that Bergvall will wear the number 15 shirt for Spurs. Obviously, this is a pretty important squad number and would suggest the young Swede will get plenty of minutes in the first-team.

According to Spurs insider, Paul O’Keefe, the plan is to keep Bergvall at the club rather than loan him out, and the teenager will be mixing with Postecoglou’s first-team squad throughout the season (Last Word on Spurs).

I really wouldn’t be surprised if Bergvall gets a lot of opportunities to show what he can do this season, and I have a feeling he could take to the Premier League with ease and really explode onto the scene in the coming months. Here’s hoping, anyway.
