Report: Spurs player is being chased by ‘clubs around the continent’ this summer

It has been on the cards for a while, but Bryan Gil has been heavily tipped to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer in a new report from Football.London, with clubs across Europe linked with the Spaniard.

What next for Bryan Gil at Tottenham?

Since joining Tottenham in 2021, Bryan Gil has struggled to find his feet in England, and has spent just as much time out on loan at other clubs as he has in North London.

Temporary spells with Valencia and then his former club, Sevilla, have proved fairly fruitful for the young winger, who has maintained his excellent reputation in his native Spain.

However, Gil was retained by Ange Postecoglou for the 2023/24 campaign, but only managed 12 appearances in all competitions with a total of just 233 minutes of game time (Transfermarkt).

According to Football Insider, Gil will be available for transfer this summer. He is wanted by Sevilla once more, and Spurs are thought to be asking for just £6m to let him go (Estadio Deportivo).

However, Sevilla are not sure they can afford this fee, but Gil has his heart set on the reunion (Vamos mi Sevilla).

Whatever happens with that situation, Alasdair Gold has claimed the end is nigh for Gil, with multiple clubs interested in acquiring him this summer.

Gold wrote: “Further up the pitch and Bryan Gil’s time at Tottenham is expected to come to an end after three years of being unable to get starts at the club.

“Clubs across the continent [have] shown interest in the 23-year-old Spanish winger in recent windows.”

Getting rid of Bryan Gil is an absolute no-brainer. He offers Spurs nothing, and we need to sign a much, much better player to bolster our options on the wing.

To be honest, I’d even be happy to see a youngster getting some opportunities and a place in the squad than Gil taking up space once more.
