Football Insider report that Tottenham will sign not one but two new forwards for Ange Postecoglou this summer as they finally look to replace Harry Kane.

Replacing your club’s record goalscorer is never an easy task, but that’s what happened to Tottenham just a day before the start of the season in 2023/24.

Not only did Ange Postecoglou and his squad step up to the plate, but Tottenham actually managed to score four more goals this season than last, while climbing three places in the Premier League table.

With Heung-min Son and Richarlison largely sharing striker duties this season, Spurs technically haven’t replaced Harry Kane yet either, but that appears to be a job for this summer.

Tottenham want to sign two new forwards this summer

Football Insider report that Tottenham will look to sign a new ‘senior wide forward’ to compete with Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson next season.

The report also claims that Spurs have not been overly happy with the output of Richarlison in the number nine role and will look to sign a new out-and-out striker this summer too.

That should offer Ange Postecoglou plenty of firepower to work with next season as Tottenham look to close the gap on the likes of Man City and Arsenal while also competing in Europe.

Spurs Web Opinion:

A new winger and a new striker are definitely both needed this summer. Alexander Isak is the perfect striker target but will prove to be way too expensive so I do wonder whether Spurs will test the water for Ivan Toney at £40m or so.
