David Gray wants to see another positive performance from his Hibs side on Sunday as they take on Livingston in their final game of the cinch Premiership season.

Our Interim Head Coach led the Hibees to a 3-0 win over Motherwell midweek, in what was an impressive, solid performance at Easter Road.

Now their focus turns to Livingston whose relegation to the cinch Championship has already been confirmed.

Despite their struggles this season, Gray is under no illusions that it will be a difficult challenge on Sunday.

“It’s a real tough game. The surface is one thing, but we know that so it’s not an excuse because we know that going into the game. It’s the same for both teams.

“They’re in a situation where they’re not playing for anything, so they’re playing with a freedom, which will have its own challenges in itself.

“They will have players playing for their future, like there is for us. It’s a tough game, but one we’re looking forward to.

“For us, it’s about continuing that momentum from Wednesday, remembering the feeling after the game, and making sure we’ve got again on Sunday.”

It’s been a busy week leading into the final game of the season, and Gray lifted the lid on the preparations ahead of the trip to the Tony Macaroni Arena.

“The result on Wednesday night helps the legs feel a little bit better. Today is the second day of recovery after the game for the boys who played and the boys that didn’t get minutes were out on the grass for a real good session this morning. We will be all come back together again tomorrow (Saturday) ahead of the game.”

Gray will have the same group of players to choose from as he gave a final injury update.

“The squad will be the same as it was. The longer-term injuries have changed their focus on being ready for next season. The same group will go again.”
