Report: Tottenham want to sign 11-goal Japanese attacker this summer

According to Bold, Tottenham have now set their sights on Brondby star Yuito Suzuki ahead of the summer transfer window.

Earlier this month, Tipsbladet reported that Spurs had sent their scouts to Denmark to watch FC Midtjylland’s clash against Brondby but the outlet did not reveal who they were there to watch.

That has now been clarified by Bold, who say that the North London club are fans of Suzuki and are considering taking the Japan international to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Tottenham set their sights on Yuito Suzuki

The versatile forward, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, has had a terrific debut season in Danish football since joining the club from J League side Shimizu S-Pulse last summer.

The 22-year-old has managed 11 goals and nine assists across all competitions this season and it is revealed that not just Tottenham but also Stuttgart and Ajax have checked on the player recently.

The publication suggests that Suzuki’s ‘price can explode’ this summer and adds that Bronby may find it difficult to turn down offers of around €20m (£18.8m).

Spurs Web Opinion

Suzuki’s versatility might appeal to Tottenham and Postecoglou would be quite aware of the youngster’s talent since his time in Japan but whether the 22-year-old is of the required standard to make the step up the Premier League is the big question.
