Queen’s Park fan David Storrie presents Dom Thomas with Buck’s Bar Southside Player of the Month
Queen’s Park’s Dom Thomas timed his return to the side perfectly as he helped the club secure Championship Football and be selected as the Buck’s Bar Southside Player of the Month for April.
Spiders supporter David Storrie was one of the hundreds of fans who took part in the on-line vote for their favourite in April, and, like Dom, he was a winner, after being chosen at random to present the prize to the club captain.
A voucher to be used at Buck’s Bar Southside was presented to Dom and to complete a memorable day for David he was also presented with a similar gift from the club sponsor.
Dom, who scored two great goals in the season’s penultimate game at Arbroath and then helped his team-mates in a crucial win over Airdrie, said: “It is always nice to be recognised by supporters especially at a vital time of the season. It was good to meet David at Buck’s Bar Southside and for us both to receive vouchers.
“I enjoyed my two goals at Gayfield, and it was great to win that day as there was a bit of pressure on us. We came through that and also got the win we needed over Airdrie. Winning this award ends the season nicely.”
