Report: Spurs continue to scout Eintracht Frankfurt star before potential move 

GiveMeSport have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur will continue to assess Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Larsson closely over the next few weeks before deciding whether to make a bid for him.

Tottenham’s interest in Larsson first came to light a few days ago when Football Transfers suggested that the Lilywhites could step up efforts to sign the teenager, whom Ange Posteocglou is said to be a fan of.

This information has now been backed up by GiveMeSport, who say that the Australian has asked Spurs’ scouts to keep a close eye on the youngster.

Tottenham yet to make a decision on Hugo Larsson

The outlet says that Postecoglou wants to add a press-resistant number six to his squad and believes that Larsson has the attributes to thrive in his system.

However, it is made clear that while Tottenham have registered an early interest in the Frankfurt star, they are planning to continue monitoring his progress instead of rushing to the negotiating table.

The publication adds that the Lilywhites may face competition for the 19-year-old’s services, with Liverpool and Arsenal also named as the Sweden international’s admirers.

Given Bissouma’s form over the last few months, it is not surprising that Tottenham has been linked with a whole host of defensive midfielders over the last couple of weeks. That is an area that Postecoglou has seemingly identified as a priority to strengthen this summer.
