Journalist reveals odds of Spurs-linked Malinovskyi joining Premier League

0 7

Journalist Paolo Bargiggia has now claimed that Spurs-linked Ruslan Malinovskyi has a 60 per cent chance of joining Nottingham Forest in the future.

Malinovskyi is apparently now likely to leave Atalanta, with West Ham United also given a 30 per cent chance of landing him, with the remaining 10 per cent being described as ‘other possible destinations’. Tottenham were not mentioned by name.

The attacker was heavily linked with a move to Spurs towards the end of the summer transfer window, but he ended up staying put with Atalanta (TuttoMercatoWeb).

Fabrizio Romano revealed once the window had closed that both Spurs and Marseille wanted Malinovsky on loan with a permanent option, but any move was blocked by Atalanta president, Antonio Percassi.

Even at the time, Romano added that the attacking midfielder’s future remained up in the air for future windows, and that appears to have been confirmed by Bargiggia.

He said this week (via Area Napoli): “Malinovskyi, in all probability, will leave Atalanta. His future could be in England. 60% he will go to Nottingham Forest, 30% to West Ham, another club interested in the player. 10% for other possible destinations.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

This was more of a there and then transfer for Tottenham, with Malinovskyi looking like a good addition given the timing and circumstance. However, they may choose to move for a higher profile of player in the following windows.
