Seattle native leaves match after 27 minutes with possible leg fracture.

DeAndre Yedlin suffered an ugly-looking injury on Saturday that forced him to leave Galatasaray’s match after 27 minutes. The injury happened as he attempted to block a cross and the attacking player’s follow through ended up coming down on Yedlin’s ankle, bending it awkwardly. There was no card given on the play.

Yedlin stayed down for several minutes and was eventually subbed off. After the game, he was photographed with crutches and Galatasary manager Levent Şahin told the press Yedlin would go to the hospital where they’ll look for a potential fracture.

“I hope nothing will happen quite seriously, but it looks like we will have a problem,” Şahin said.

This was Yedlin’s first game back from a red card suspension that cost him one game. After going 5-1-0 in Yedlin’s first six appearances, Galatasaray is now on a three-game winless run, including a tie on Saturday, that has seen them fall out of Champions League position.
