Throwing away a cup game (17 replies)

Was our major undoing in the winter.

We was on decent form, I think 4 wins, 3 draws and only 1 loss from late December - and then Cotterill decides to send out the 2nd string against Huddersfield in the replay, we lose, we lost any momentum we had and we never recovered. We wouldn't win again until Monk came in.

So are we going to learn from this? We need a win. Even if it's the Cup, winning breeds confidence within the team and fans. I fear the longer we go without a win the more it'll become a mental issue.

I hope it's not going to be kids tomorrow. I hope Monk is telling them to win it. I hope he understands the importance of what wins can do.
