Isabella Takes 2nd, No Classes Next Week, Tournament At Apex This Weekend

Congrats to Isabella Lee who took 2nd in a large Y12 Women’s Foil Event at Apex Fencing Academy over the weekend! Isabella took one loss in the pools and seeded 3rd in the elimination rounds.  She reached the semi-final rounds and faced the 2nd seed, whom she lost to in the pools.  She defeated the second seed 15-13 to enter the finals.  Meanwhile, 1st seed was also upset in the semi-finals by the 5th seed.  Isabella was defeated by Julia Balin from Forge Fencing in the finals.  Also big hurrahs for attending tournaments without the team!  There are many tournaments throughout NC, and we always encourage our fencers to attend tournaments on their own!
