What is “The Protecting Youth in Sports Act”?

“The Protecting Youth in Sports Act” is legislation introduced to create safer sporting environments by preventing abuse and harassment of young athletes. It mandates that sports organizations implement strict safety guidelines, including mandatory training for coaches, screening procedures, and independent reporting mechanisms for maltreatment, with key standards effective as of April 1, 2026.
