Prince George’s County-Fort Washington Transportation, Road Safety & Bicycling Forum

Please join the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and partners for a Prince George’s County-Fort Washington Transportation, Road Safety & Bicycling Forum on Monday, August 12, 7 pm to 8:30 pm at the St. John’s Broad Creek Episcopal Church, 9801 Livingston Road, in Fort Washington, MD.

The program is free and open to the public. We’ll have snacks and beverages and a chance to meet concerned neighbors and advocates. We’ll be joined by Councilmember Edward Burroughs (District 8) and Maryland Delegate Kriselda Valderrama (District 26), by state and county officials, and partners Fort Washington Fort and the Oxon Hill Bicycle and Trail Club.

Southern Prince George’s County faces transportation challenges that affect residents, businesses and employees, visitors, and the quality of life. Indian Head Highway is particularly unsafe, southern PGC transit falls short, and the area lacks safe pedestrian and bicycling infrastructure and the network of trails found in other parts of the county. Equity is a key consideration.

We’ll tackle challenges and explore solutions on August 12. RSVP using this page.

Questions? Please get in touch with Seth Grimes at seth.grimes@waba.org.

We hope to see you on August 12!
