Eurovelo 1: From Rochelle to Nantes with children. It is paved? How much?

We are a family with two daughters (5 and 7 years old). We have some cycling experience (Danube, Rhin, Garonne, Loire). At Easter we want to cycle the section Rochelle - Nantes following Eurovelo 1.We would like to ask if the route mostly follows paved bicyle paths, or low traffic paved roads....
