Today may be Reformation Day*, but when it comes to football it's time for the Catholics to defeat the WASPs, or at least the wasps as the #4** Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on (and zip up) the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech. The fumigation and Counter-Reformation begins at 3:30 p.m. today on ABC.
* You can have 95 guesses as to what that's about. You nailed it, right?
** Why #4? Beats me. Then-#3 Notre Dame beat Pitt last week, 45-3, while the hitherto inactive Ohio State won its first game of the year by a somewhat less impressive margin over a weak Nebraska team whose 2019 record of 5-7 was worse than Pitt's - 8-5 and worse than Pitt's 3-3 mark in 2020 going into the ND game.
