Round 1 – 9th May 24

We have an outstanding 22 players entered so for the main summer tournament, the Bob Dunn OTB Summer Championships!

You still have time to enter if you want to play in this summer extravaganza!

Round 1 of 4 was played on Thurs 9^th May 24, where we had 8 matches on (two matches had already been play), and was a tense and nervous affair for some!

The big shock of the night was in form Ana Belen Otero Seijas (1370), losing to newbie, Stuart Neave! Well, done Stuart!

While the rest of the higher graded players all won, some went all the way, and one in particular, must have been taught chess by Houdini! But I am sure Andy Rowe would prefer to be Steve McQueen on his motorbike from the “Great Escape”, or was that Telly Savalas? Who loves you baby!
