Colorado transfer Isaiah Johnson commits to Texas
By JAMES MADDEN
Colorado transfer Isaiah Johnson is headed to Texas, he announced on Instagram on Saturday. A 6-foot-1 guard from Los Angeles, Johnson is one of the top transfers on the board and one of the most efficient scorers in the country.
For the Buffaloes this season, Johnson averaged 16.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game on 48.6% true shooting for Tad Boyle’s squad.
Johnson saw himself become one of the nation’s biggest stock risers this season, becoming one of the top-scoring freshmen in the country at Colorado, who was his only power five offer coming out of high school.
After a Sweet Sixteen appearance in Sean Miller’s first season with the Longhorns, Johnson will lead a reloaded roster into Miller’s second season in Austin.
