North Carolina lands Virginia Tech transfer Neoklis Avdalas

New North Carolina head coach Michael Malone has landed his first transfer since being hired by the Tar Heels, a source confirmed to ZAGSBLOG. The Tar Heels have landed a commitment from Virginia Tech transfer Neoklis Avadalas.
A freshman from Greece, Avdalas averaged 12.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game in 31 appearances for the Hokies this season.
In Virginia Tech’s loss to North Carolina in late February, Avdalas tallied 19 points, three rebounds and five assists in the seven-point loss.
Since the hiring of Malone, North Carolina has kept all three high school commits and now landed a top-ten transfer in Avdalas.
