Indiana adds Duke transfer Darren Harris, Notre Dame transfer Markus Burton
BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ & JAMES MADDEN
Indiana scored a double dose of portal additions on Monday.
Transferring Duke guard Darren Harris announced he will play for the Hoosiers next season, and Notre Dame transfer Markus Burton also pledged to Darian DeVries’s program.
“Basketball fit and schematically it’s all I’m looking for and more,” Harris told ZAGSBLOG. “It’s a historic program and I’m looking forward to helping get IU back to the top.”
Harris averaged 3.3 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game this season for Duke as a sophomore. Harris has played his first two seasons of college at Duke but will now be starting a new chapter under DeVries.
Originally from Indiana, Burton averaged 18.5 points per game for the Fighting Irish, appearing in just 10 games due to an injury.
He will join Georgia Tech transfer Jaeden Mustaf along with four-star high-school recruits Vaughn Karvala, Prince-Alexander Moody and Trevor Manhertz.
