James Wiseman and Kevon Looney to miss Saturday’s game against Hornets

They’ll be re-evaluated on Sunday.

The Golden State Warriors are going to be small a bit longer.

Prior to Friday night’s game against the Orlando Magic, coach Steve Kerr announced that James Wiseman and Kevon Looney — who are out with a sprained wrist and sprained ankle, respectively — will miss not only Friday’s game, but Saturday’s as well. The Dubs visit the Charlotte Hornets Saturday night.

Kerr said that both players will be re-evaluated on Sunday, one of two straight off days before Tuesday’s contest against the New York Knicks.

Prior to the Magic game, the Warriors had played eight straight games without a center, as Marquese Chriss is also sidelined with a broken leg, and Alen Smailagić is playing in the G League. The Dubs have gone 5-3 in those games, and their offense has been unlocked during some stretches.

Still, the Dubs could use some size back in the lineup, especially when they play some bigger teams. Hopefully Wiseman and Looney are able to return soon.
