[Men's Cross Country] Cross Country Adds Gonzales For Fall 2017
SHAWNEE- Fernando Gonzales, from U.S. Grant High School (Okla.), will be joining the Cavaliers in the Fall of 2017. Fernando is a two time State Qualifier in Cross Country; qualifying for the Oklahoma 6A State Cross Country Meet both in 2014 and 2016. At the state meet this year, Fernando placed in the top 100 and helped his team to a thirteenth place finish in one of the state biggest and most competitive classes.
"We are excited to have Fernando be our first in-state signee, and for him to be joining us this upcoming school year," said Coach Creal "Fernando is a very humble and hardworking individual who takes pride in what he does." Coach Creal continued to say, "His experiences from competing in Oklahoma's biggest high school athletic division will help bring depth into our program. He is going to be a great student-athlete here at SGU and I look forward to the opportunity to work with him on a daily basis."
