2025 Events & Exhibits
Over this past year we were lucky enough to host many different visitors to the Hall of Fame who participated in various programs and events, and enjoyed the Museum exhibits as well! Here are some of the highlights, as well as a sneak peak at a couple of things to look forward to in the new year!
Virtual Exhibits
Each year we offer three virtual exhibits so that you can visit the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum from the comfort of your own home or classroom!
This past year we started off with an exhibit called “Who Won the Pearson Cup?” This exhibit was a deep-dive into the short-lived battle of Canada between the Blue Jays and the Expos, which began in 1978.
Our second exhibit of the year, curated by YCW intern, Alison Dringenberg, was “Game Changers: The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum Class of 2025“. One of our online shows each year focuses on the incoming class of inductees so that you can learn more about these legends of the game.
Our final exhibit of the year (on now) is “Cardboard to Collectable: A History of the Baseball Card“, curated by YCW Archives Assistant, Alexei DeLuca. This exhibit examines the long history of baseball cards, including collecting and producing, and their uniquely Canadian ties.
All of our virtual exhibits are archived on our website under the “Our Collection” tab where you can explore through past exhibits.
And what’s on the schedule for 2026? We’re kicking off the year with an exhibit all about the complicated relationship between beer and baseball in Toronto! Despite the part ownership of Labatt Breweries, the Toronto Blue Jays played in the only dry stadium in Major League Baseball for several years. This newest virtual exhibit will explore the history of Toronto baseball’s prohibition.
Tours
Of course we also offer museum exhibits at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum itself, and we hosted thousands of visitors throughout the year who came by to see those exhibits in person, including our inductees display which changes each year.
Although our season spans from the beginning of May to the end of September, we host pre-booked tours all year round. Throughout 2025 we have had a wonderful time hosting off-season tours, including families coming by for a visit, baseball teams enjoying a Day at the Hall of Fame, bus tour groups, and more! Over March Break in 2025 we opened our doors to guests who were gearing up for the baseball season with tour timeslots open all week long.
Over March Break 2026, what better way to spend the school holiday than by getting ready for baseball season with a tour at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum? Keep an eye out for more announcements in early 2026 for group tour timeslot bookings over March Break!
Programs & Events
“Who Killed the Montreal Expos?” Premiere Screening: Netflix debuted an exciting new documentary, featuring several Expos greats and Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductees. If you missed joining us for the screening and haven’t yet seen it, the documentary is a must-see for all Canadian baseball fans, and Expos fans especially!
Appraisal Days: we were joined again by our friend Tony from , who helped us run this two-day fundraiser.
Road Trips: Over the past year we also had a fantastic time journeying around southern Ontario with our travelling museum! We set up at various events, including at six Intercounty Baseball League ballparks as part of our 2025 summer IBL road trip. Keep an eye on our social media channels and eblasts in the coming year to catch us in person at another event!
Induction Weekend: Of course we also had an incredible Induction weekend in 2025 when we honoured the latest class: Greg Hamilton, José Bautista, Arleene Noga, Érik Bédard, Amanda Asay, and Gerry Snyder. You can read more about that event HERE.
Canadian Women in Baseball Panel
In 2025 we were so pleased to debut a brand new program in partnership with Rawlings Canada: The Canadian Women in Baseball Panel. We held a virtual interview with five incredible Canadian women who are working in baseball, both on and off the field in various capacities. If you missed the panel or want to revisit it, you can see the video at the link on our YouTube channel.
We are now busy preparing for the next Canadian Women in Baseball Panel which will be held on Wednesday February 4, 2026 at 7pm EST over Zoom. To learn more, read about this year’s panelists, and register, click HERE.
