Lind is replacing former Phillie Cody Asche as Baltimore’s lead hitting coach. Asche is now an assistant hitting coach with the Detroit Tigers.
The Phillies currently have two vacancies on the 2026 coaching staff. The club is looking for a new bench coach after shifting Mike Calitri to the newly created position of major league field coordinator.
After the 2023 season, the Phillies dismissed assistant hitting coach Jason Camilli and hired two new assistant hitting coaches in Lind and Rafael Peña. Peña is still on the staff.
Before joining the Phillies, Lind was the director of hitting and assistant hitting coach for the Giants. A former independent hitting consultant, Lind got his start in professional baseball working as a coach in the Mariners minor league system in 2018. He earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Montana in 2017.
